How to Keep a Sharp Mind

The Alzheimer's disease is a common form of dementia. And dementia is a normal case of memory loss. An individual that has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease has signs of an unnormal brain function. According to research Alzheimer's is not associated or related to old age. The signs of Alzheimer's disease can affect daily living activities: creativity, relationships, memory, and learning.

Research studies show that daily intake of antioxidants can help you on how to keep a sharp mind; and prevent Alzheimer's disease. Also all memory loss is not a form of Alzheimer's.


What to Take for Memory Loss;

  • Daily intake of B vitamins.
  • Foods high in vitamin E; vegetables, fruits, and nuts.
  • Stop eating pork, which is high in toxins.
  • Eating a small bowl of oatmeal every morning, oatmeal is a memory boosting food.
  • Green tea
  • Dark leafy greens
  • Salmon fish
  • Apples
  • Get at least 10 hours of sleep at night.
  • Regular exercises 5 minutes daily.
  • Avoid smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol.
  • Surround yourself with positive people and positive conversation.
  • Socialize with people.
  • Start a new hobby like crocheting.

  • Cross word puzzles
  • Jigsaw puzzles
  • 'Memory' the card game
  • Yahtzee
  • Bingo!
  • 'Solitaire' the card game

From children to adults can began to play games for memory loss prevention. I remember playing the memory card game with my mother; this did help me to remember things better as a child. Teenagers and adults have to keep a sharp memory as well; this helps to maintain a sharper memory. Socializing with people can help with preventing memory loss. Also, these days working on your computer can assist with better memory function. Computer tasks such as: checking emails, remembering passwords, being sociable in online forums, and learning a new hobby or crocheting can help you on how to keep a sharp mind.

My mother died of Alzheimer's disease last May. Her symptoms were so terrible I don't think B vitamins or green tea would have helped much. Later!
