Reasons of Wearing Uniforms, Advantages of Uniforms, Wearing Scrubs
Wearing Uniforms
The purpose of wearing a scrub uniform is a sign to your customer or patient, letting them know that you have proper training in your occupation. And wearing a scrub uniform sets the professional appearance apart from those whose attire is in the form of street clothes or casual wear, in that particular profession. For instance, a patient needs a blood draw from a Medical Assistant, there are two Medical Assistants; one is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, the other is wearing a medical scrub uniform. Go figure. . . on which Medical Assistant the patient is hoping will draw their blood? Of course, the person whose appearance fits the part of a professional, and more becoming of the environment; the medical scrub uniform wearer. There are workplaces that will allow the employees to choose, if they want to wear scrub uniforms or street clothes. In the medical profession the dress code in some cases is either to wear scrub uniforms or collar shirts with slacks (pants). Many individual prefer to wear the medical scrub uniforms; they're more comfortable and becoming of a medical professional along with a proper I.D. badge on most clinical sites. Not only that, but wearing any type of work-uniform let your customers know that you came to do just that. . . w-o-r-k.

- Wearing uniforms is a form of identification. It separates the employees from any common person in case of emergencies, or other important identity reasons.
- The employee should be comfortable throughout the day, and wearing scrubs are more comfortable than regular clothing. Being that the scrubs are comfortable, wearing scrub uniforms can assist the employee with performing at their best.
- Wearing scrubs in the Medical Profession; can assist with being sterile for the patients, other employees, and for themselves. As the worker can change into other scrubs during the day, as needed for cleanliness.
An Auto Mechanic wears his work uniform to protect his normal clothes, from getting oily and greasy. Whereas, all the auto mechanic's uniforms can be washed together; separate from their normal clothes, to prevent them from becoming stained and oily too.
Wearing Scrubs - Review
Further, wearing quality scrub uniforms is important; wearing a brand that lasts longer is beneficial in saving money. The Cherokee Scrub Uniforms last longer, and are of a better quality of cloth. Many medical professions such as Phlebotomist wear Cherokee scrubs in their place of work. Also, the Dickies Scrub Uniforms last longer than most scrub uniforms as well. The Dickies Uniform brand of Scrubs are thicker and of good quality. But after all, this is my personal review on the Cherokee Scrubs and the Dickies Scrubs.
Although there are other scrub uniforms that are of good quality; my personal best are Cherokee scrubs and Dickies Scrubs. Other individuals might have their personal favorites as well. Just remember wearing a uniform doesn't make you a professional, but your skills and mainly your actions/attitude makes you a professional.
